LIGHT
The plant likes its surroundings very bright, but with indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves of Alocasia plant.
WATER
Keep the soil evenly moist at all times. Neither should it be dry nor too soggy. Check your plant every other day and allow the top 2 to 3 inches of soil to dry before watering it.
Tip: water little but often.
HUMIDITY
Alocasia likes its surroundings very humid. Mist it regularly or place it over a moistened pebble tray to raise the humidity.
TEMPERATURE
The Alocasia plant prefers warmer conditions so keep them away from air conditioners and cold drafts.
TOXICITY
They are mildly toxic to humans and animals, and ingestion can cause irritation. Keep them away from pets and small children.
EXTRA LOVE
Alocasia likes to be root-bound in small pots so don’t rush to put them into larger pots.
