Aglaonema Care Guide
All Eyes For The Aglaonema
LIGHT
Most light conditions won’t hurt the plant. She’ll grow well in bright, indirect light but is also tolerant to low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, however, as it can burn its leaves.
WATER
Its watering needs aren’t much; water thoroughly once you find that the top two inches of the soil are dry.
HUMIDITY
It’ll survive in low humidity but will love it if you mist it lightly once a week. Misting prevents the tips of its leaves from browning.
TEMPERATURE
Temperatures between 65 degrees to 80 degrees are ideal for the plant. Avoid sudden temperature changes in the plant’s environment.
TOXICITY
It’s toxic to humans and animals and ingestion can cause irritation, and even vomiting. Keep it somewhere the pets and children won’t touch it.
EXTRA LOVE
The plant is sensitive to water that’s rich in salts such as chlorine and fluoride. It can turn the tips of the leaves brown and dry. If you’re feeding it unfiltered tap water, let the water sit overnight before watering the plant.
