MONSTERA deliciosa CARE GUIDE
Back to Plant Directory

LIGHT
Medium to low light suits the plant perfectly. It can tolerate bright, indirect sunlight too. Don’t expose it to direct sunlight though; it can burn the leaves.

WATER
Water once a week, when you see that the top 1 to 2 inches of the soil is dry. If the temperature is higher than usual, it would appreciate a little extra watering. If you see the leaves droop, the plant is thirsty. In case the leaves turn yellow, it’s a sign of overwatering.

HUMIDITY
Normal humidity levels are fine for the plant, but it will like a little extra humidity through misting once or twice a week.

TEMPERATURE
As long as the temperature is between 65 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the plant will do well. Don’t let the surrounding temperature drop below 60 degrees.

TOXICITY
Monstera isn’t toxic, but ingestion can cause irritation. It’s best to keep it away from children and pets.

EXTRA LOVE
Give it a little extra space to grow; don’t place it in a tight corner. An open living room is ideal, where the plant wouldn’t be obstructed from spreading.
